R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Arlington Heights Rd. (County Highway 79) is a designated route on the county highway system; and

WHEREAS, the Lake County Division of Transportation has had underway, thru the IDOT federal project approval process, the Phase I engineering study for proposed replacement of precast concrete deck beams on the bridge carrying Arlington Heights Rd. over Buffalo Creek (northbound bridge) designated as Section 05-00193-04-BR.

WHEREAS, the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) has allocated Lake County federal Highway Bridge Replacement funds (HBR) for the proposed replacement of precast concrete deck beams of the bridge carrying northbound Arlington Heights Rd. over Buffalo Creek; and

                     WHEREAS, the State of Illinois and Lake County are desirous on entering into an agreement for the use of said federal highway funds for this improvement, a draft copy of which is attached hereto.

                     NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Chair of the County Board, the County Clerk, and the County Engineer of Lake County are authorized and they are directed to execute an agreement pertaining to the financing of the above-named improvement.  The County Engineer shall transmit, in writing, the final agreement to be executed by the Chair of the County Board and the County Clerk and grant plan and specification approval to the Illinois Department of Transportation.

                     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this agreement, when executed in its final form, be submitted to the Illinois Department of Transportation for their approval and final processing.
