R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, North Avenue (County Highway 3 is a designated route on the county highway system; and

WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if the North Avenue from Deep Lake Road (County Highway 36) to IL Route 83 could be improved by pavement reconstruction; and

WHEREAS, Lake County by and through its Division of Transportation has caused to be prepared preliminary plans and said plans identifying right-of-way needs; and

WHEREAS, Lake County by and through its Division of Transportation now needs to obtain title commitments, property appraisals and incur other advance right-of-way costs associated with the proposed improvement; and

WHEREAS, Lake County by and through its Division of Transportation needs to acquire various easements and rights of entry for said reconstruction of North Avenue.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that there is hereby appropriated $40,000 of Matching Tax funds for title commitments, property appraisals, other advance right-of-way costs and property acquisition costs associated with the proposed reconstruction of North Avenue from Deep Lake Road to IL Route 83 and designated by Section 03-00119-09-WR.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Engineer of Lake County is authorized to execute an agreement for professional negotiation and acquisition services with Mary S. Mathewson for the acquisition of needed easements and rights of entry agreements.
