RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Lake County Department of Public Works owns and operates the Saunders Road lift station and gravity sewer, which provides sanitary sewer service to portions of the Village of Riverwoods and surrounding areas; and
WHEREAS, the pump station conveys wastewater to the County’s Des Plaines River Water Reclamation Facility; and
WHEREAS, to meet current and future sanitary sewer capacity needs, the lift station must be upgraded and the associated gravity sewer pipes north of the facility must be replaced; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, bids were called for by publication of Saunders Road Lift Station and Gravity Sewer Replacement Project; and
WHEREAS, Bolder Contractors, Inc. is the lowest responsive, responsible bidder in the amount of $7,936,226.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract with Bolder Contractors, Inc., of Cary, Illinois, in the amount of $7,936,226 for the Saunders Road Lift Station and Gravity Sewer Replacement Project.
