R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Winchester Road (County Highway 69) is a designated route on the county highway system; and
WHEREAS, Winchester Road is in need of left turn lanes west bound into the Libertyville Park and east bound at the west County Access Road and a barrier median at the Metra tracks; and
WHEREAS, the Phase I (preliminary engineering) and Phase II (design engineering) need to be completed for Winchester Road at the Metra tracks and the County Access Road; and
WHEREAS, it is advisable that a firm be employed to provide professional engineering services for the Phase I (preliminary engineering) and Phase II (design engineering); and
WHEREAS, Lake County, by and through its Division of Transportation, has selected a professional engineering services firm, Manhard Consulting, Ltd, Vernon Hills, Illinois, in accordance with the Local Government Professional Services Selection Act, for the Phase I (preliminary engineering) and Phase II (design engineering).
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that Manhard Consulting, Ltd, Vernon Hills, Illinois, be employed to provide professional services for the design of the above said improvement, and that the Chair of the County Board, the County Clerk and the County Engineer of Lake County are authorized and they are directed to execute a contract, on behalf of Lake County for the provision of said engineering services for improvements to Winchester Road from west of the Metra railroad to east of the County Access Road, at a maximum cost of services described as $167,245.79, a draft copy of which is attached hereto.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Engineer shall transmit in writing the final agreement to be executed by the Chair of the County Board and the County Clerk.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there is hereby appropriated $200,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds for this improvement designated as Section 10-00151-22-CH.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this agreement be administered in accordance with Chapter 605, Act 5, Section 5-205.2 of the Illinois Compiled Statutes without further Board action providing the final contract cost chargeable under the funds appropriated does not exceed the appropriations provided.
