RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, there is a need to enter into a contract with a successful vendor to perform tree removal and tree trimming services for the Lake County Division of Transportation; and
WHEREAS, the contract shall include tree cutting services, tree removal, tree trimming, tree stump grinding, tree debris disposal, and emergency tree removal services as required; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 33.036 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, a bid was called for, by publication, for tree removal and tree trimming services for the Lake County Division of Transportation; and
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received from five vendors at the Lake County Administrative Building, Waukegan, Illinois, on May 13, 2026; and
WHEREAS, based on the criteria set forth in the bid; the staff evaluated all bids submitted and determined that the bid submitted by Crowley Tree Experts Inc., a Siebert and Sons Co., Lake Villa, Illinois, in the amount of $61,445 is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for Lake County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is authorized to enter into a contract with Crowley Tree Experts Inc., a Siebert and Sons Co., Lake Villa Illinois, for tree removal and tree trimming service for the Lake County Division of Transportation in the estimated annual amount of $61,445.
