• The grant award increase from the FY 2024 budget is due to COLA increase for the positions.
• If funding for these positions ends, and new funding is not secured, the positions will be eliminated.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the DCFS has announced a 12-month continuation of the grant program to provide direct services to child victims of crimes during the period of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025; and
WHEREAS, the grant funds of $626,682.48 for this program will provide salary and benefits for the current three Victim Advocates, Program Director, Director of Outreach and Engagement, Administrative Assistant, a contractual Development and Communications Designer, and contractual Forensic Interviewers assigned to the grant program; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Program Agreement with the Children’s Advocacy Centers of Illinois with State Department of Children and Family Services funds for the State’s Attorney’s Children’s Advocacy Center program to provide services to child victims and their families, for the period of July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025, is hereby accepted; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that all revenue and expenses to be appropriated as detailed on the attached budget; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the State’s Attorney shall serve as the project director for the program, and accurate records of all necessary grant compliance requirements shall be kept by the State’s Attorney’s Office; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Chair of the Board, the Lake County State’s Attorney, and Lake County Treasurer are hereby authorized to execute the necessary documentation to accept the grant renewal.
