RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Supreme Court of Illinois has awarded a Court Technology Modernization Program Funding Agreement in the amount of $50,000 to the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit Court; and
WHEREAS, the Illinois Court Technology Modernization Program provides funding for technology upgrades and infrastructure improvements that enhance court operations and services for court users and justice partners; and
WHEREAS, Grant funds will be used to replace an outdated paging system in the Kids Korner, Microsoft Surface tablets for Pretrial Services, computers for the Juvenile Detention Center’s education program, and language interpreting devices for courtrooms program; and
WHEREAS, an emergency appropriation of $50,000 is requested to allocate these funds into the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit county fiscal year budget and authorize acceptance of this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the County Board hereby authorizes an emergency appropriation in the amount of $50,000 to implement the Funding Agreement of the Supreme Court of Illinois Court Technology Modernization Program for the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit for the period of December 12, 2025, through June 30, 2026.
