RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 5-102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, bids were called for by publication for Job Order General Contractors; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to said publication, and Invitation to Bid was extended to 15 vendors; and
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received from 1 local vendor and 14 nonlocal vendors and opened in the Lake County Purchasing Dept, Waukegan, Illinois, on May 7, 2019, at 11:00 A.M.; and
WHEREAS, based on the criteria set forth in the Invitation to Bid; the staff evaluated all bid submittals and determined that the bids submitted by McDonagh Demolition Company, Paul Borg Construction Company and Homestead Electric Company are the lowest responsive and responsible bidders for Lake County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that Purchasing Agent is authorized to enter into a one-year contract with renewals for Job Order Contracting General Contractor Services with McDonagh Demolition Company, Inc. of Chicago, Illinois bidding a combined adjustment factor of 0.7886 in the estimated amount not-to-exceed $2,000,000 charging the costs to various Lake County accounts, Paul Borg Construction Company of Chicago, Illinois bidding a combined adjustment factor of 0.7995 in the estimated amount not-to-exceed $2,000,0000 and Homestead Electric Company of Ingleside, Illinois bidding a combined adjustment factor of 0.8535 in the estimated amount not-to-exceed $2,000,000.
