R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the TMA of Lake Cook is desirous of utilizing CMAQ funds to develop a Lake Cook/Braeside Shuttle Bug Service Demonstration Project within the Lake Cook Road corridor; and
WHEREAS, said CMAQ funds are only available to units of local government; and
WHEREAS, the TMA has requested that Lake County be the local government sponsor for the use of CMAQ funds on behalf of the TMA of Lake Cook; and
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois and Lake County are desirous on entering into an agreement for the use of said CMAQ funds for the development of a Lake Cook/Braeside Shuttle Bug Service Demonstration Project within the Lake Cook Road corridor, a draft copy of which is attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, an appropriation of funds is required.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that the County Board Chair, the County Clerk, and the County Engineer of Lake County are authorized and they are directed to execute an agreement, and any subsequent amendments, pertaining to the financing of the above-named improvement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Engineer shall transmit, in writing, the final agreement, and any subsequent amendments, to be executed by the County Board Chair and the County Clerk.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this agreement, when executed in its final form, be submitted to the Illinois Department of Transportation for their approval and final processing.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there is hereby appropriated $212,000 of Matching Tax funds, and designated as Section 14-00000-08-ES.
