R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, CMAP provides the staff for the Chicago region's federally required transportation Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO); and
WHEREAS, federal funds for highway and transit projects, including the County's and the Lake County CMAP Council of Mayors, must be reviewed by the MPO; and
WHEREAS, the Lake County Division of Transportation supports these Chicago region and Lake County sub-region transportation planning efforts through membership and transportation staffing for the CMAP Lake County Council of Mayors; and
WHEREAS, the contribution to CMAP for Lake County for said SFY 2014 is $5,901.96.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that there is hereby appropriated $5,901.96 of Motor Fuel Tax funds needed for Lake County's SFY 2014, July 1, 2013, through June 30, 2014, local share for CMAP for its Metropolitan Area Transportation Planning involving the CMAP Lake County Council of Mayors in accordance with the Illinois Highway Code 605 ILCS 5/5 - 701.6, and designated as Section 14-00183-00-ES.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this appropriation be processed by the County Engineer for final approval of the Illinois Department of Transportation in accordance with the "Agreement of Understanding" between the Illinois Department of Transportation and Lake County, dated January 18, 2013.
