RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, assignments to standing committees and commissions are made every two years when the Lake County Board undergoes reorganization; and
WHEREAS, with the passing of Vice-Chair Dr. Mary Ross Cunningham, the Lake County Board representative for District 9, vacancies for the remainder of her term have been created in the Law and Judicial, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Health and Community Services, and Rules Committees and the Public Building, Housing and Community Development, and Workforce Development Commissions; and
WHEREAS, the vacancies created a need to shift standing committee and commission assignments; and
WHEREAS, it is the request of the County Board Chair that Gina Roberts be appointed as the Chair of the Law and Judicial Committee to fill the vacancy created by Mary Ross Cunningham for a term beginning immediately and ending December 7, 2026; and
WHEREAS, it is the request of the County Board Chair that Sara Knizhnik be appointed as the Vice-Chair of the Law and Judicial Committee to fill the vacancy created by Gina Roberts for a term beginning immediately and ending December 7, 2026; and
WHEREAS, it is the request of the County Board Chair that Brandon Ewing be appointed as a member of the Law and Judicial Committee to fill the vacancy created by Sara Knizhnik for a term beginning immediately and ending December 7, 2026; and
WHEREAS, it is the request of the County Board Chair that Esiah Campos be appointed as the Chair of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee to fill the vacancy created by Mary Ross Cunningham for a term beginning immediately and ending December 7, 2026; and
WHEREAS, it is the request of the County Board Chair that Diane Hewitt be appointed as the Vice-Chair of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee to fill the vacancy created by Esiah Campos for a term beginning immediately and ending December 7, 2026; and
WHEREAS, it is the request of the County Board Chair that Brandon Ewing be appointed as a member of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee to fill the vacancy created by Diane Hewitt for a term beginning immediately and ending December 7, 2026; and
WHEREAS, it is the request of the County Board Chair that Brandon Ewing be appointed as a member of the Health and Community Services Committee to fill the vacancy created by Mary Ross Cunningham for a term beginning immediately and ending December 7, 2026; and
WHEREAS, it is the request of the County Board Chair that Brandon Ewing be appointed as a member of the Rules Committee to fill the vacancy created by Mary Ross Cunningham for a term beginning immediately and ending December 7, 2026; and
WHEREAS, it is the request of the County Board Chair that Sandy Hart be appointed as the Chair of the Public Building Commission to fill the vacancy created by Mary Ross Cunninham for a term beginning immediately and ending December 7, 2026; and
WHEREAS, it is the request of the County Board Chair that Diane Hewitt be appointed as the Vice-Chair of the Public Building Commission to fill the vacancy created by Sandy Hart for a term beginning immediately and ending December 7, 2026; and
WHEREAS, it is the request of the County Board Chair that Brandon Ewing be appointed as a member of the Public Building Commission to fill the vacancy created by Diane Hewitt for a term beginning immediately and ending December 7, 2026; and
WHEREAS, it is the request of the County Board Chair that Brandon Ewing be appointed as a member of the Housing and Community Development Commission to fill the vacancy created by Mary Ross Cunningham for a term beginning immediately and ending December 7, 2026; and
WHEREAS, it is the request of the County Board Chair that Brandon Ewing be appointed as a member of the Workforce Development Commission to fill the vacancy created by Mary Ross Cunningham for a term beginning immediately and ending December 7, 2026.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that Gina Roberts is hereby appointed as the Chair of the Law and Judicial Committee for a term beginning immediately and ending December 7, 2026; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Sara Knizhnik is hereby appointed as the Vice-Chair of the Law and Judicial Committee for a term beginning immediately and ending December 7, 2026; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Brandon Ewing is hereby appointed as a member of the Law and Judicial Committee for a term beginning immediately and ending December 7, 2026; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Esiah Campos is hereby appointed as the Chair of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee for a term beginning immediately and ending December 7, 2026; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Diane Hewitt is hereby appointed as the Vice-Chair of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee for a term beginning immediately and ending December 7, 2026; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Brandon Ewing is hereby appointed as a member of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee for a term beginning immediately and ending December 7, 2026; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Brandon Ewing is hereby appointed as a member of the Health and Community Services Committee for a term beginning immediately and ending December 7, 2026; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Brandon Ewing is hereby appointed as a member of the Rules Committee for a term beginning immediately and ending December 7, 2026; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Sandy Hart is hereby appointed as the Chair of the Public Building Commission for a term beginning immediately and ending December 7, 2026; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Diane Hewitt is hereby appointed as the Vice-Chair of the Public Building Commission for a term beginning immediately and ending December 7, 2026; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Brandon Ewing is hereby appointed as a member of the Public Building Commission for a term beginning immediately and ending December 7, 2026; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Brandon Ewing is hereby appointed as a member of the Housing and Community Development Commission for a term beginning immediately and ending December 7, 2026; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Brandon Ewing is hereby appointed as a member of the Workforce Development Commission for a term beginning immediately and ending December 7, 2026.
