• The Health Department received $13,125 in grant funding for the period of March 10, 2026, through June 30, 2026, which was not previously appropriated because the grant resources were approved after the County’s adoption of the Fiscal Year 2026 budget.
• This funding will support the use of evidenced based therapy interventions by behavioral health providers in integrated care settings through participation in the training and learning collaborative sessions.
• This will be used to reimburse allowable staff time for training and learning collaborative participation.
• If funding for the services ends, and new funding is not secured, the services will be eliminated.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center has received a grant increase delivered by our Clinical Operations Unit; and
WHEREAS, these dollars will provide an increase in services to Lake County with no impact on local taxes; and
WHEREAS, the funding amount totaling $13,125 for the period of March 10, 2026, through June 30, 2026, has not been previously appropriated, having been approved after adoption of the Fiscal Year 2026 budget; and
WHEREAS, the proposed appropriation will be fully offset by the above referenced items thereby not requiring the expenditure of local tax revenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Solution Focused Brief Therapy Training and Implementation Initiative Grant from the Illinois Behavioral Health Workforce Center at the University of Illinois Chicago is hereby approved; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an emergency appropriation in the amount of $13,125 is hereby authorized in the Health Department Fiscal Year 2026 budget as identified on the listing of expense and revenue budget modifications attached hereto and made part hereof.
