WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 4-102 of the Purchasing Ordinance of Lake County, Illinois, bids were called for by publication for Election Ballot Printing Services for the Lake County Clerk’s Office; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to said publication, invitations for bids were extended to twenty-three (23) vendors; and
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received from two (2) vendors and opened in the County Building, Waukegan, Illinois on Thursday, May 22, 2008, at 2:00 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, Graphic Partners, Zion, IL, is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder in the amount of $110,600.00, another responsive bid was received from: Chatsworth Data, Chatsworth, CA - $259,000.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent to enter into a contract with Graphic Partners, Zion, Illinois, in the estimated amount of $110,600.00, plus renewal options, to provide election ballot printing services for the Lake County Clerk, charging the costs thereof to account #101-2000020-72830-000-000-000-00000.
