RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the renewal of Cisco SmartNet provides protection to the County’s network infrastructure investment; and
WHEREAS, the County maintains Cisco SmartNet to reduce operational risk by ensuring rapid replacement of failed equipment, 24/7 access to Cisco technical support, critical security updates, and continuous reliable service; and
WHEREAS, this contract authorizes a one-year agreement with Logicalis for $423,841 with the option of extending up to three additional one-year periods; and
WHEREAS, subsequent annual renewals of licensing are estimated to increase 10 percent with each one-year renewal for a total estimated cost in the final term of $564,132.37; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is authorized to enter into a contract with Logicalis for a contract renewal of Cisco SmartNet in the amount of $423,841.
