RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Lake County, by and through its PASSAGE Program, endeavors to interconnect traffic control signal systems situated throughout Lake County; and
WHEREAS, the agreement for the traffic signal monitoring and control software includes five years of software maintenance; and
WHEREAS, the software maintenance will be provided by ECONOLITE/Traffic Control Corporation, Woodridge, Illinois, who is currently the vendor and distributor of the traffic signal system software and traffic signal controllers in Lake County; and
WHEREAS, an appropriation of funds is necessary.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this Lake County Board that the County Engineer of Lake County is hereby authorized and directed to execute an agreement on behalf of Lake County for a five-year maintenance agreement with ECONOLITE/Traffic Control Corporation, Woodridge, Illinois, for the traffic signal monitoring and control software, Centracs, a draft copy of said agreement is attached hereto.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that there is hereby appropriated $107,500 of ¼% Sales Tax for Transportation funds to provide for these services and designated as Section 23-00999-97-TL.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this agreement shall be administered in accordance with Chapter 605, Act 5, Section 5-205.2 of the Illinois Compiled Statutes without further Board action, provided the final contract cost chargeable under the funds appropriated does not exceed the appropriation.
