R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Lake County by and through its PASSAGE Program endeavors to interconnect traffic control signals systems situated throughout Lake County; and
WHEREAS, communications with these interconnected traffic control systems to the Transportation Management Center (TMC) in Libertyville is necessary; and
WHEREAS, wireless communications methods between the TMC and the various traffic control systems situated throughout Lake County is an emerging technology and is suitable for use in certain limited areas; and
WHEREAS, such an area is in central Lake County including portions of the Village of Mundelein; and
WHEREAS, in order to facilitate the utilization of this wireless communications technology suitable communication antennae locations are required; and
WHEREAS, the Mundelein water tower situated along Winchester Road is one such desirable location, designated as Lake County PASSAGE Wireless Communication Hub # 1; and
WHEREAS, Lake County by and through its Division of Transportation and the Village of Mundelein are desirous of entering into an agreement stating the terms and conditions by which the Village of Mundelein will allow Lake County to install wireless communication antennae and related equipment on the Village owned water tower along Winchester Road, a draft copy of which is attached hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, that the Chair of the County Board, the County Clerk, and the County Engineer of Lake County, Illinois, be authorized, and they are hereby directed to execute an agreement between Lake County and the Village of Mundelein for said communications antennae and related equipment installation on the Village owned water tower along Winchester Road. The County Engineer shall transmit in writing the final agreement to be executed by the Chair of the Lake County Board and the County Clerk.
