R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Hainesville Road (County Highway 24) is a designated route on the county highway system; and
WHEREAS, Lake County, by and through its Division of Transportation, proposes to place a bike path along Hainesville Road (County Highway 24) from 175 feet south of Heritage Trail to IL Route 120 (Stage 2b); and
WHEREAS, plans and specifications for said bike path have been completed; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Hainesville and Lake County are desirous of entering into an agreement stating the terms and conditions by which the Village of Hainesville will reimburse Lake County for the construction of said bike path, a draft copy of which is attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, Lake County, by and through its Division of Transportation, desires to proceed with the construction of said portion of the bike path; and
WHEREAS, an appropriation of funds is necessary for the construction of said bike path.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Chair of the County Board, the County Clerk, and the County Engineer be authorized and they are hereby directed to execute an agreement pertaining to the financing of the above-named improvement; and such authorization shall include any necessary subsequent amendments.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Engineer shall transmit in writing the final agreement to be executed by the Chair of the Lake County Board and the County Clerk.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there is hereby appropriated $165,000 of Matching Tax funds for the construction of said bike path from 175 feet south of Heritage Trail to IL Route 120 and designated as Section 08-00072-11-BT.
