R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Deep Lake Road, County Highway 36, is a designated route on the County highway system; and

WHEREAS, it would be beneficial for the safety and welfare of the motoring public if the intersection of Deep Lake Road at Illinois Route 132 could be improved with the installation of left turn arrows for northbound and southbound traffic; and

WHEREAS, Lake County and the Village of Lake Villa are desirous of entering into an agreement stating the terms and conditions for the installation of left turn arrows for northbound and southbound traffic at the intersection of Deep Lake Road at Illinois Route 132, a draft copy of which is attached hereto; and

WHEREAS, an appropriation of funds is necessary.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that the County Board Chair, the County Clerk, and the County Engineer of Lake County, Illinois, are authorized, and are hereby directed to enter into an agreement between Lake County and the Village of Lake Villa stating the terms and conditions for the installation of left turn arrows for northbound and southbound traffic at the intersection of Deep Lake Road at Illinois Route 132, and designated as Section 13-00087-05-TL.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Engineer shall transmit, in writing, the final agreement to be executed by the County Board Chair and the County Clerk.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by this Lake County Board, that there is hereby appropriated $20,000 of .25 percent Sales Tax for Transportation and Public Safety funds for this improvement.
