• The lowest bid was determined to be a non-responsive bidder resulting in Crystal Management & Maintenance Service Corporation being deemed the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
• This resolution authorizes a one year agreement with four additional one year renewal options that will cost the County an estimated amount of $149,430.
Body
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 5-102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, bids were called for by publication for Janitorial and Housekeeping Services at Various Lake County Facilities; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to said publication, an Invitation to Bid was extended to 36 vendors; and
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received from eight vendors and opened in the County Building, Waukegan, Illinois, on January 3, 2013 at 2:00 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, based on the criteria set forth in the Invitation to Bid; the staff evaluated all bid submittals and determined that the bid submitted by Crystal Management & Maintenance Service Corporation is the most favorable bid for Lake County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County,
Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Crystal Management & Maintenance Service Corporation for Janitorial and Housekeeping Services at Various Lake County Facilities for a one-year agreement with four additional one-year renewals in the estimated amount of $149,430, charged to various Lake County accounts.
