RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Lake County Public Works maintains the paved area around the Maintenance Building located at 648 W. Winchester Road in the Village of Libertyville; and

WHEREAS, the paved area north of the maintenance building has reached the end of its useful life and is experiencing pavement failures; and

WHEREAS, in accordance with the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, bids were called for by publication for the Lake County Department of Public Works Maintenance Facility Paving Improvements Project; and

WHEREAS, Chicagoland Paving Contractors, Inc. is the lowest responsive, responsible bidder in the amount of $88,952.90; the other bids ranged from $89,900.40 to $128,468.20.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract with Chicagoland Paving Contractors, Inc. of Lake Zurich, Illinois in the amount of $88,952.90 for the Lake County Department of Public Works Maintenance Facility Paving Improvements Project.
