RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Access to Justice has awarded the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit Court $30,000 to support the work of the Court’s Self-Represented Litigant (SRL) program for the grant period of August 1, 2023 through July 31, 2024; and
WHEREAS, the funds are to support the continuation of the early resolution program, implement a wayfinding kiosk which is will provide interactive directories and maps of the court facility, and assist with the continued development of the website and an enabled chat feature; and
WHEREAS, the County Board must authorize an emergency appropriation of $30,000 to implement this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the County Board authorizes an emergency appropriation with offsetting revenue in the amount of $30,000, to support the work of the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit Court’s Self-Represented Litigant (SRL) Coordinator for the grant period of August 1, 2023 through July 31, 2024.
