·      This access and visitation grant does not require matching funds.

Body

WHEREAS, the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services administers child support enforcement programs that provide funding for access and visitation services; and

WHEREAS, the 19^th Judicial Circuit seeks to provide these services for non-married parents by contracting with an attorney to serve as a mediator to aid in the resolution of visitation and custody-related disputes; and

WHEREAS, the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services has approved funding for the 19^th Judicial Circuit's proposed program in the amount of $42,686 for state fiscal year 2009; and

WHEREAS, this access and visitation grant does not require matching funds; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to appropriate the $42,686 in new funding and authorize the necessary approvals to formally accept this grant.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that it hereby authorizes the execution of Agreement # 2009-55-024-K1d with the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services and an emergency appropriation of $42,686 for the 19^th Judicial Circuit of Lake County Access and Visitation Program for state fiscal year 2009; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the $42,686 be appropriated in account 101-3200010-71140-000-000-000-xxxxx with offsetting revenue in account 101-3200010-45340-000-000-000-xxxxx.
