• Public Works coordinated with Highland Park for the Sewer Lining Program renewal to obtain the same negotiated 2016 contract pricing.
• Hoerr Construction, Inc. Peoria, Illinois, submitted a quote to Public Works in the amount of $330,772.99 for sanitary sewer lining in Terre Faire and Kildeer.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the County of Lake (County) owns, operates and maintains several sanitary sewer systems within the County; and
WHEREAS, Lake County Public Works provides sewer service throughout portions of Lake County and undertakes annual rehabilitation of deteriorated and aging sanitary sewer systems; and
WHEREAS, as part of the County’s shared services initiative, Lake County Public Works has been working closely with the County Administrator’s Office to identify shared service opportunities; and
WHEREAS, in 2013 an invitation to bid was extended by the City of Highland Park on behalf of the participating Municipal Partnering Initiative (MPI) group members Highland Park, Glencoe, Lake Forest and North Chicago; and
WHEREAS, Hoerr Construction, Inc., Peoria, Illinois, submitted the lowest responsive and responsible bid; and
WHEREAS, the City of Highland Park has continued to be the lead agency for the MPI group and renewed this contract for the three additional and consecutive one-year terms (2014, 2015 and 2016); and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 10-101 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, a cooperative purchasing contract with Hoerr Construction, Inc., Peoria, Illinois, has been identified for the services; and
WHEREAS, Lake County Public Works coordinated with Highland Park through their Sewer Lining Program renewal to obtain the same negotiated 2016 contract pricing; and
WHEREAS, Hoerr Construction, Inc. Peoria, Illinois, submitted a quote to Lake County Public Works in the amount of $330,772.99.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract with Hoerr Construction, Inc., Peoria, Illinois, in the amount of $330,772.99 for the Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation 2016 Shared Services Project and charging the costs thereof to various accounts.
