• This resolution authorizes the purchase of a Relay® folder inserting system in the amount of $58,204.41, with ongoing maintenance in the amount of $4,815.25 beginning in 2025.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the existing folder inserting system is at the end of its useful life and is in need of replacement; and
WHEREAS, folder inserting systems expedite the mailing process and eliminate costly delays due to manual errors; and
WHEREAS, folder inserting systems are critical for Lake County to send timely mass mailings for elections, assessment notices, and more; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 33.115 of the County’s Purchasing Ordinance, Cooperative Joint Purchasing Authorized, the County may participate in a cooperative purchasing agreement for the procurement of goods, services, construction, or professional services with one or more public procurement units in accordance with an agreement entered into between the participants; and
WHEREAS, a cooperative purchasing contract with Pitney Bowes has been identified through Sourcewell to procure needed goods, services, construction, or professional services that were competitively solicited and awarded.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is authorized to enter into a contract with Pitney Bowes for the Relay® folder inserting system in the amount of $58,204.41 to be charged to 101-1102050-84060-000-000-000-11304.
