R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Wilson Road, County Highway 7, is a designated route on the County highway system; and
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the motoring public if Wilson Road, at the intersection of Nippersink Road, could be improved with the installation of traffic signals, retaining walls, bike path, left turn lane on all four legs and compensatory storage for storm water; and
WHEREAS, it is advisable that a firm be employed to provide professional services for the phase II design engineering; and
WHEREAS, Lake County, by and through its Division of Transportation, has selected a professional engineering services firm, TranSystems Corporation, Schaumburg, Illinois, in accordance with the Local Government Professional Services Selection Act (50 ILCS 510/1 et. seq.), for the intersection improvement of Wilson Road, at Nippersink Road; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that TranSystems Corporation, Schaumburg, Illinois, be employed to provide said Phase II design engineering services, and that the County Board Chair, the County Clerk and the County Engineer of Lake County are authorized, and they are directed to execute on behalf of Lake County, an agreement and any subsequent amendments hereto, for consultant engineering services between Lake County and TranSystems Corporation, Schaumburg, Illinois, at a maximum cost of $782,372.98.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Engineer shall transmit, in writing, the final agreement and any amendments to be executed by the County Board Chair and the County Clerk.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there is hereby appropriated $940,000 of Matching Tax funds for these engineering services, and designated as Section 03-00070-06-CH.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this agreement be administered in accordance with Chapter 605, Act 5, Section 5-205.2 of the Illinois Compiled Statutes without further Board action providing the final contract cost chargeable under the funds appropriated does not exceed the appropriations.
