Body
WHEREAS, the County of Lake (County) owns and operates the Deerfield Road Force Main in the Southeast Lake Facilities Planning Area; and
WHEREAS, the Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) is widening and reconstructing a portion of Deerfield Road and adding a bike path; and
WHEREAS, a portion of the Deerfield Road Force Main must be relocated because it is in conflict with the proposed LCDOT bike path adjacent to Deerfield Road; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Rules of this County Board, bids were called for by publication for the Deerfield Road Force Main Relocation Project; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to said publication, invitations to bid were extended to seventeen (17) contractors; and
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received and publicly opened in the office of the Public Works Department on Thursday, April 22, 2010, at 2:00 p.m., and the bid prices were as follows:

WHEREAS, RJ Underground, Inc., is the low responsive, responsible bidder in the total amount of $ 182,871.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract with RJ Underground, Inc., in the amount of $ 182,871.00 for the Deerfield Road Force Main Relocation Project and charging the costs thereof to Account No. 610-4854298-48310.
