RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Washington Street, County Highway 45, is a designated route on the county highway system; and
WHEREAS, Lake County believes it would be beneficial for the safety and welfare of the traveling public if the intersection of Washington Street and Illinois Route 21 could be improved; and
WHEREAS, the Village owns street lighting, bike path, and sidewalk within the project limits requiring modification; and
WHEREAS, Lake County and the Village are desirous of entering into an agreement stating the terms and conditions for the Village’s participation in this project, a draft copy of which is attached hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the County Board Chair, the County Clerk, and the County Engineer of Lake County, Illinois, are authorized, and are hereby directed to enter into an agreement, and any amendments, between Lake County and the Village of Gurnee stating the terms and conditions for the Village of Gurnee’s participation in the intersection improvements at Washington Street and Illinois Route 21, and designated as Section 22-00999-93-ES; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County Engineer shall transmit, in writing, the final agreement and any amendments, to be executed by the County Board Chair and the County Clerk.
