R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Lake County is relocating Peterson Road (County Highway 20) at IL Route 60; and
WHEREAS, Lake County possesses fee simple ownership of an irregular shaped parcel of property having an area of 1.666 acres along Peterson Road (hereinafter the FIRE STATION PARCEL); and
WHEREAS, the Grayslake Fire Protection District desires to construct a new fire station in order to provide better fire protection coverage and emergency medical service coverage to its district; and
WHEREAS, in order to construct said new fire station along Peterson Road, the Grayslake Fire Protection District needs ownership of said FIRE STATION PARCEL; and
WHEREAS, Lake County and the Grayslake Fire Protection District are desirous of entering into an agreement stating the terms and conditions for the conveyance of said FIRE STATION PARCEL at an adjusted fair market value of $21,922.50, a draft copy of said agreement attached hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this County Board of Lake County that the Chair of the County Board, the County Clerk, and the County Engineer of Lake County, Illinois, be authorized and they are hereby directed to execute on behalf of Lake County an agreement, and any subsequent amendments thereto, between Lake County and the Grayslake Fire Protection District stating the terms and conditions by which Lake County will convey to the Grayslake Fire Protection District said FIRE STATION PARCEL at the adjusted fair market value. The County Engineer shall transmit in writing the final agreement and any amendments to be executed by the Chair of the Lake County Board and the County Clerk.
