Staff Summary
• As part of the Modified Fiscal Year (FY) 2023 Budget and in alignment with the Facilities Capital Improvement Plan, design of a new Regional Operations and Communications (ROC) Facility was authorized.
• This resolution provides design, procurement, and installation of office furniture for the ROC Facility.
• Pursuant to Chapter 33.115, Cooperative Joint Purchasing Authorized, the County may either participate in, sponsor, conduct or administer a cooperative purchasing agreement for the procurement of goods, services, constructions, or professional services with one or more public procurement units in accordance with an agreement between those units to do so.
• A cooperative purchasing contract with BOS has been identified through the Omnia Contract #R191813 to procure needed goods and services that have been competitively solicited and awarded.
• Omnia Partners competitively procured the services for furniture, installation and related services through a Request for Proposal (RFP) that allowed multiple awards to qualified vendors. Omnia received 21 proposals and identified 18 qualified vendors, of which BOS was awarded a contract.
• The cooperative contract expires on April 30, 2025.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, as part of the Modified Fiscal Year (FY) 2023 Budget and in alignment with the Facilities Capital Improvement Plan, design of a new Regional Operations and Communications (ROC) Facility was authorized; and
WHEREAS, this resolution provides design, procurement, and installation of office furniture for the ROC Facility; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article 33.115 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, Cooperative Purchasing, Lake County may participate in a cooperative purchasing agreement for the procurement of goods, services, or professional services with one or more public procurement units in accordance with an agreement entered into between the participants; and
WHEREAS, a cooperative purchasing contract has been identified through the Omnia Contract #R191813 to procure needed goods and services that have been competitively solicited and awarded; and
WHEREAS, Omnia Partners competitively procured the services for furniture, installation and related services through a Request for Proposal (RFP) that allowed multiple awards to qualified vendors. Omnia received 21 proposals and identified 18 qualified vendors, of which BOS was awarded a contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is authorized to enter into contract with BOS, Roselle, Illinois, for the purchase of office furniture for the Regional Operations and Communications (ROC) Facility in the amount of $113,760.54.
