RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the ICJIA has announced the continuation of the State’s Attorney’s Crime Analysis program, with a 12-month renewal that includes $51,579 in federal funds to enhance gang information and intelligence-sharing, and contribute to information sharing systemic improvements during the period October 1, 2016, through September 30, 2017; and
WHEREAS, the grant program will fund 100 percent of the salary and benefits for a full time Crime Analyst in the Gang/Narcotics Prosecutions Division, and is comprised of $51,579 in federal funds, a required match of $17,193, and additional match of $15,241 for a program total of $84,013; and
WHEREAS, the grant renewal must be formally accepted by Lake County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that Program Agreement #414953 with the ICJIA for the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Crime Analysis program in the amount of $84,013 for the period October 1, 2016, through September 30, 2017, is hereby accepted; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that grant program expenses and revenue are included in the State’s Attorney’s budget; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that grant revenue in the amount of $51,579 from the ICJIA, will be deposited into account # 101-3330020-45334, matching funds of $32,434 from account 760-3318010 will be deposited into account # 101-3330020-49920; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the State’s Attorney shall serve as project director for the program, and accurate records of all necessary grant compliance requirements shall be kept by the State’s Attorney Office; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Chairman of the Board, the Lake County State’s Attorney, and the Lake County Treasurer are hereby authorized to execute the necessary documentation in order to accept the grant renewal.
