RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) provides the staff for the Chicago region’s federally required transportation metropolitan planning organization (MPO); and
WHEREAS, federal funds for highway and transit projects, including the county’s and the Lake County CMAP Council of Mayors must be reviewed by the MPO; and
WHEREAS, the Lake County Division of Transportation supports this effort through membership dues for the CMAP Lake County Council of Mayors, said SFY 2011 dues being $5,880.72.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County that there is hereby appropriated $5,880.72 of Motor Fuel Tax funds needed for Lake County’s July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011 pro-rated share of the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) for Metropolitan Area Transportation Planning (SFY ’10) involving the CMAP County of Lake Council of Mayors in accordance with the Illinois Highway Code (605 ILCS 5/5 - 701.6) and designated as Section 11-00183-00-ES.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this appropriation be processed by the County Engineer for final approval of the Illinois Department of Transportation in accordance with the “Agreement of Understanding” between the Illinois Department of Transportation and Lake County, dated January 22, 2003
