• Lake County desires to enter into contracts for Temporary Nursing Services for Winchester House and the Lake County Health Department.
• Proposals were called for by publication for Various Temporary Nursing Services and request for proposals were sent to twenty-four (24) firms.
• Winchester House and the Lake County Health Department evaluated proposals separately in accordance with the evaluation criteria established in the request for proposal.
• Winchester House determined that the proposals submitted by Delta T Group, Nursing Resource and Medical Staffing Network are the most favorable proposals for Lake County.
• These contracts for Winchester House will cost the County an estimated annual amount of $300,000.
• The Health Department determined that the proposals submitted by Novastaff Healthcare Services, Inc., Oak Brook, IL, Assured Healthcare, Gurnee, IL, Maxim Staffing Solutions, DesPlaines, IL and Medical Staffing Network, Warrenville, IL are the most favorable proposals for the Health Department temporary nursing requirements.
• These contracts for the Health Department will cost the County an estimated annual amount of $50,000.
• Awards to multiple vendors are required to meet the needs of both departments.

WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 5-102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, proposals were called for by publication for Various Temporary Employee Services, including a section for Temporary Nursing Services for Winchester House and a section for Temporary Nursing Services for the Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to said publication, request for proposals were sent to twenty-four (24) firms; and
WHEREAS, sealed proposals were received from eight (8) firms for Temporary Nursing Services and opened in the County Building, Waukegan, Illinois, on Tuesday December 15, 2009; and
WHEREAS, Winchester House and the Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center evaluated proposals separately in accordance with the Evaluation Criteria established in the Request for Proposal; and
WHEREAS, Winchester House determined that the proposals submitted by Delta T Group, Oak Brook, IL, Nursing Resource, Huntley, IL and Medical Staffing Network, Warrenville, IL are the most favorable proposals for Winchester House temporary nursing requirements; and
WHEREAS, the Health Department determined that the proposals submitted by Novastaff Healthcare Services, Inc., Oak Brook, IL, Assured Healthcare, Gurnee, IL, Maxim Staffing Solutions, DesPlaines, IL and Medical Staffing Network, Warrenville, IL are the most favorable proposals for the Health Department temporary nursing requirements; and
WHEREAS, awards to multiple vendors are required to meet the needs of both departments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is authorized to enter into one-year contracts with Delta T Group, Oak Brook, IL, Nursing Resource, Huntley, IL and Medical Staffing Network, Warrenville, IL in the estimated annual amount $300,000 combined plus renewal options charging the costs thereof to accounts 218-4102010-72840 for Temporary Nursing Services for Winchester House and contracts with Novastaff Healthcare Services, Inc., Oak Brook, IL, Assured Healthcare, Gurnee, IL, Maxim Staffing Solutions, DesPlaines, IL and Medical Staffing Network, Warrenville, IL in the estimated annual amount of $50,000 per year plus renewal options for Temporary Nursing Services for the Health Department charging the costs thereof to various Lake County Health Department accounts.
