RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Lake County State's Attorney's Office is in the process of extending the US Department of Justice 2009 American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA) grant #809036, administered through the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority(ICJIA), which will continue to support a victim/witness counselor position in the Misdemeanor Division through September 30, 2013 ; and
WHEREAS, the Lake County State's Attorney's Office will continue to use this funding for the Victim Witness Counselor position in its inventory through September 30, 2013; and
WHEREAS, the 2009 ARRA JAG Grant #809036 has been increased in program funding of $10,737 and it is necessary to appropriate this revenue amount; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to authorize the extension amendment as described herein; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the execution of the amendment of the 2009 federal ARRA JAG Grant #809036 for Lake County on behalf of the Lake County State's Attorney's Office are hereby authorized; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that program expenses are already appropriated in the FY13 State's Attorney budget in fund 101, management center 101-3330030, with an equal amount of offsetting revenue in federal funds to be deposited to the same management center; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the emergency appropriation in the amount of $10,737 be approved; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds will available for expenditure in the management center's chart of accounts until September 30, 2013; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the State's Attorney shall continue to serve as project director for the program, and accurate records of all necessary grant compliance requirements shall be kept by the State's Attorney's Office; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board Chair, State's Attorney, and Treasurer for Lake County are hereby authorized to execute the necessary documentation for the extension of grant #809036.
