R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 4-102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, bids were called for the maintenance of the trees and shrubs along portions of Rollins Road, Washington Street, Fairfield Road, Gilmer Road and Deerfield Road and miscellaneous other county highways; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to said publication, invitations to bid were extended to twenty-seven (27) firms; and
WHEREAS, one sealed bid was received and publicly opened in the Lake County Purchasing Division, on June 24, 2010; and
WHEREAS, ILT Vignocchi, Inc., of Wauconda, IL is the sole responsive and responsible bidder in the estimated annual amount of $27,960; and
WHEREAS, this County Board of Lake County, Illinois by prior resolution at its meeting of March 16, 2010 appropriated $40,000 of Matching Tax funds for the for the maintenance of the trees and shrubs along portions of Rollins Road, Washington Street, Fairfield Road, Gilmer Road and Deerfield Road and miscellaneous other county highways and designated as Section 10-00000-06-GM.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this County Board of Lake County that a contract be awarded to said ILT Vignocchi, Inc., Wauconda, Illinois in accordance with their bid of $27,960 based on estimated quantities and unit prices and that the Purchasing Agent, the County Clerk, and the County Engineer of Lake County be authorized and they are hereby directed to enter into a contract with said low bidder for the maintenance of the trees and shrubs along portions of Rollins Road, Washington Street, Fairfield Road, Gilmer Road and Deerfield Road and miscellaneous other county highways and designated as Section 10-00000-06-GM.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in as much as such estimated quantities are the best approximation that can be determined at this time, these quantities may be added to, deducted from, or modified from in the final determination of the contract cost in accordance with Chapter 605 of the Illinois Compiled Statutes, Act 5, Section 5-205.2 without further Board action, providing the final cost chargeable to the funds appropriated does not exceed the appropriation.
