• As part of the Fiscal Year 2026 Capital Budget Process and Facilities Capital Improvement Plan, the design of restroom renovations, plumbing and drainage improvements, building envelope enhancements, and security hardening were approved.
• Lake County Facilities and Construction Services department is seeking professional services to improve the facilities in Waukegan, IL.
• In accordance with the Local Government Professional Services Selection Act, a firm may be selected directly by the County based on a prior satisfactory relationship; the recommended consultant is HDR Architecture, Inc.
• This resolution authorizes the execution of an agreement with HDR Architecture, Inc., Chicago, Illinois, in an estimated amount of $308,500, including reimbursable expenses.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, as part of the Fiscal Year 2026 Capital Budget Process and Facilities Capital Improvement Plan, the design of restroom renovations, plumbing and drainage improvements, building envelope enhancements, and security hardening were approved; and
WHEREAS, Lake County Facilities and Construction Services department is seeking professional services to improve the facilities in Waukegan, IL; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Local Government Professional Services Selection Act, a firm may be selected directly by the County based on a prior satisfactory relationship; the recommended consultant is HDR Architecture, Inc.; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by this Lake County Board, that the Purchasing Agent is authorized and directed to execute an agreement with HDR Architecture, Inc., Chicago, Illinois, in an amount not to exceed $308,500 for architectural and engineering design services associated with multiple Fiscal Year 2026 Facilities Capital Improvement Projects.
