•                     Lake County desires to enter into a contract with Landscape Concepts Management for lawn care and landscape service for Lake County Public Works, Division of Transportation, and Facility Operations.

•                     Invitations for bid were extended to 10 vendors; 13 vendors registered to download the bid documents.

•                     Sealed bids were received from one vendor.

•                     Landscape Concepts Management, Inc. is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder who best meets the needs of the County.

•                     Landscape Concepts Management a Lake County vendor, has been successfully providing these services for Lake County for the past 13 years.

•                     80 Public Works sites are being serviced in the amount of $208,713, one Division of Transportation site is being serviced in the amount of $14,227; and 11 Facility Operations sites are being serviced in the amount of $114,229.

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, there is a need for lawn care and landscape services to be provided at 97 Lake County sites for Public Works, Division of Transportation, and Facility Operations; and

WHEREAS, the County has competitively sourced a vendor to provide these services through a public bid process; and

WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 33.036 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, a bid was called for by publication for Lawn Care and Landscape Services for Lake County Public Works; Division of Transportation; and Facility Operations; and

WHEREAS, invitations for bids were extended to thirteen vendors; and

WHEREAS, sealed bids were received from one vendor and opened in Waukegan, Illinois on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at 11:00 a.m.; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Landscape Concepts Management, Inc., Grayslake, Illinois, in the estimated annual amount of $337,169 for lawn care and landscape services in the amount of $208,713 charged to various Public Works accounts; in the amount of $14,227 charged to Division of Transportation account 214-4300040-72250; and in the amount of $114,229 charged to 101-1500010-72250.
