Staff Summary
• The Lake County Government employees will observe the attached Holiday schedule for 2025, per County Policy 4.1- Paid Holidays.
• By statute, the Treasurer must maintain minimum hours and cannot change their hours without County Board approval.
• Treasurer Holly Kim is seeking County Board approval to close her office on the floating holiday, Lincoln’s Birthday, February 12, 2025, to accommodate business training for all employees in the Treasurer’s Office.
• 19th Judicial Circuit Court, Circuit Clerk, and State’s Attorney’s offices observe an additional holiday, President’s Day, on February 17, 2025.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, it is necessary and appropriate that this Lake County Board establish the holiday schedule for Lake County Government employees for 2025; and
WHEREAS, the following holidays will be observed during 2025:

WHEREAS, the Treasurer has requested the closure of her office on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, to accommodate business-related training for all employees of the Treasurer’s Office.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that it approves and establishes this 2025 Lake County Holiday Schedule, and that the Lake County Government employees will be observing these holidays in 2025; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the County Board authorizes the closure of the Treasurer’s Office on Lincoln’s Birthday, February 12, 2025
