Joint resolution authorizing a three-year maintenance agreement with Midwest Software Solutions of Ann Arbor, Michigan, for the Traffic Collision Location System (TCLS) used by the Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) at a cost of $30,920 and appropriating $35,000 of the ¼% Sales Tax for Transportation funds.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, LCDOT is a licensed user of TCLS, a software system developed by Midwest Software Solutions, Ann Arbor, Michigan, for traffic crash analysis; and
WHEREAS, the TCLS is used by LCDOT and other Lake County municipalities for traffic crash analysis; and
WHEREAS, the maintenance agreement with Midwest Software Solutions will expire on August 31, 2019; and
WHEREAS, LCDOT and Midwest Software Solutions desire to renew the maintenance agreement for a three-year period beginning September 1, 2019, and ending August 31, 2022, at a cost of $30,920; and
WHEREAS, an appropriation of funds is needed.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that the County Engineer of Lake County is hereby authorized and directed to execute an agreement on behalf of Lake County for a three-year maintenance agreement with Midwest Software Solutions, Ann Arbor, Michigan, for the TCLS, draft of said agreement attached hereto.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there is hereby appropriated $35,000 of the ¼% Sales Tax for Transportation funds to provide for these services, and designated as Section 19-00000-17-EG.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this agreement shall be administered in accordance with Chapter 605 Act 5, Section 5-205.2 of the Illinois Compiled Statutes without further Board action, provided the final contract cost chargeable under the funds appropriated does not exceed the appropriation.
