•                     Harris Road (Three Segments): IDOT Jurisdiction Transfer from Fremont Township Road District

•                     Harris Road was added to the County Highway System at the July 12, 1994 meeting and is currently under the jurisdiction of three entities; Fremont Township Road District, the Village of Libertyville and the Village of Grayslake.

•                     This transfers the jurisdiction of the Fremont Township Road District portion (3 Segments) of Harris Road to Lake County.

Body

WHEREAS,                      three segments of Harris Road are still under the jurisdiction of the Fremont Township Road District; and

WHEREAS, this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, by prior resolution at its meeting of  July 12, 1994 added a portion of Harris Road south of IL Route 137 as a designated highway to the county highway system; and

WHEREAS, the Fremont Township Road District and Lake County are desirous of entering into an agreement for the jurisdictional transfer from Fremont Township to Lake County of those sections of Harris Road from IL Route 137 southwesterly 100 feet and from 3,676 feet south of IL Route 137, 200 feet south and from 4,420 feet north of Peterson Road north 185 feet in its entirety as generally depicted in the map attached as Addendum I to said agreement; and

WHEREAS, a draft copy of said agreement between the Fremont Township Road District and the County is attached hereto entitled as Local Agency Agreement for Jurisdictional Transfer.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County that the County Engineer of Lake County is authorized and is hereby directed to negotiate and prepare the final Local Agency Agreement for Jurisdictional Transfer for the jurisdictional transfer from Fremont Township Road District to Lake County for those section of Harris Road from IL Route 137 southwesterly 100 feet and from 3,676 feet south of IL Route 137 200 feet south and from 4,420 feet north of Peterson Road north 185 feet in its entirety.

BE IT RESOLVED that the County Clerk and the Chair of the Lake County Board be authorized and they are hereby directed to execute the final Local Agency agreement for Jurisdictional Transfer. The County Engineer shall transmit in writing the final Local Agency Agreement for Jurisdictional Transfer to be executed by the Chair of the Lake County Board and the County Clerk.

BE IT RESOLVED that a copy of this Local Agency Agreement for Jurisdictional Transfer, when executed in its final form, be submitted to Illinois Department of Transportation for their approval and final processing.
