•                     Lake County PASSAGE, Phase II Grant Agreement with the IDOT was authorized by this County Board at its meeting of April 10, 2007.

•                     This original grant agreement has a termination date of December 31, 2009.

•                     IDOT approval is necessary to amend the original agreement in order to extend time needed to complete the scope of work until December 31, 2010.

Body

                     WHEREAS, this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, by prior resolution at its meeting of April 10, 2007, authorized the execution of an agreement between the Illinois Department of Transportation and Lake County granting $2,252,250 to Lake County for the completion of PASSAGE Phase II; and

                     WHEREAS, The original agreement and date for the completion of PASSAGE Phase II scope of work was December 31, 2009; and

                                          WHEREAS, the Illinois Department of Transportation and Lake County are desirous of amending said agreement to extend the completion date for PASSAGE Phase II scope of work to December 31, 2010, a draft copy of said agreement attached hereto. 

                     NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Chair of the County Board, the County Clerk, and the County Engineer of Lake County, are authorized, and are hereby directed to execute an amendment to the agreement between the Illinois Department of Transportation and Lake County for PASSAGE Phase II, said amendment extending the completion date for the scope of work for PASSAGE Phase II to December 31, 2010.

                     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this amendment, when executed in its final form, be submitted to the Illinois Department of Transportation for their approval and final processing.
