RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) is a licensed user of the Traffic Crash Location System (TCLS), a software system developed by Midwestern Software Solutions, LLC (MS2) of Ann Arbor, Michigan, for traffic crash analysis; and
WHEREAS, the TCLS is used by LCDOT, design consultants, and other Lake County municipalities for traffic crash analysis; and
WHEREAS, the maintenance agreement with MS2 will expire on August 31, 2025; and
WHEREAS, LCDOT and MS2 desire to renew the maintenance agreement for a three-year period beginning September 1, 2025, and ending August 31, 2028, at a cost of $41,427; and
WHEREAS, an appropriation of funds is required.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the County Engineer of Lake County is hereby authorized and directed to execute an agreement on behalf of Lake County for a three-year maintenance agreement with MS2 of Ann Arbor, Michigan, for the TCLS, draft of said agreement attached hereto; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that there is hereby appropriated $50,000 of ¼% Sales Tax for Transportation funds to provide for these services and designated as Section 25-00000-17-EG; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this agreement shall be administered in accordance with Chapter 605 Act 5, Section 5-205.2 of the Illinois Compiled Statutes without further board action, provided the final contract cost chargeable under the funds appropriated does not exceed the appropriation.
