•                     Preliminary Plans and specifications for this improvement have been prepared.

•                     By prior agreement, among Lake County, the Village of Round Lake and Avon Township Road District, dated January 17, 2003, the Village of Round Lake was to acquire necessary right-of-way for this improvement to be reimbursed by Lake County.

•                     The Village of Round Lake has completed this right-of-way acquisition and has submitted an invoice for said acquisition.

•                     Before this invoice can be paid an appropriation of $265,000 of Matching Tax funds is necessary.

R E S O L U T I O N

                                          WHEREAS, Fairfield Road (County Highway 49) is a designated route on the county highway system; and 

                     WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if the intersection of Fairfield Road at Nippersink Road could be improved by widening, reconstruction and installation of permanent traffic control signals; and

                     WHEREAS, by prior resolution this County Board of Lake County Illinois, dated January 14, 2003,  authorized the execution of an agreement among Lake County, the Village of Round Lake, and the Avon Township Road District for said intersection improvement; and

                     WHEREAS, in accordance with the terms and conditions of said agreement the Village of Round Lake was to acquire necessary right-of-way for this improvement and invoice the county its portion; and

                     WHEREAS, the Village of Round Lake has now completed said right-of-way acquisitions and has submitted an invoice therefore.

                     NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that there is hereby appropriated $265,000 of Matching Tax funds to reimburse the Village of Round Lake for the acquisition of necessary right-of-way for the improvements to the intersection of Fairfield Road at Nippersink Road and designated by Section 02-00150-02-TL.
