· A total of four bids were received, ranging from $128,954.52 to $145,445, and the lowest responsible bidder is Alliance Contractors, Woodstock, Illinois, in the amount of $128,954.52.
· This resolution authorizes execution of the contract.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, pursuant to authority granted by this Lake County Board, the County Engineer heretofore called for sealed bids, by publication, for the Non-Motorized Travel Improvements 2013: Hunt Club Road, and designated as Section 13-00095-16-SW; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said publication calling for said bid, sealed bids were received and opened on February 18, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at the Lake County Division of Transportation in Libertyville, Illinois; a tabulation of said bids being as follows:

WHEREAS, the Public Works and Transportation Committee, the County Engineer and the Purchasing Agent have examined each bid, and it appears that the lowest responsible bidder is Alliance Contractors, Woodstock, Illinois, their bid being $128,954.52 based on estimated quantities and unit prices; and
WHEREAS, this Lake County Board, by prior resolution at its meeting of July 9, 2013, appropriated $115,000 of ¼% Sales Tax for Transportation and Public Safety Funds for the non-motorized travel improvements along Hunt Club Road.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that a contract be awarded to said Alliance Contractors, Woodstock, Illinois, in accordance with their bid of $128,954.52, based on estimated quantities and unit prices, and that the Purchasing Agent, the County Clerk, and the County Engineer of Lake County be authorized and they are hereby directed to enter into a contract with said low bidder for the Non-Motorized Travel Improvements 2013: Hunt Club Road, and designated as Section 13-00095-16-SW.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in as much as such estimated quantities are the best approximation that can be determined at this time, these quantities may be added to, deducted from, or modified from in the final determination of the contract cost in accordance with Chapter 605 of the Illinois Compiled Statutes, Act 5, Section 5-205.2 without further Board action, providing the final cost chargeable to the funds appropriated does not exceed the appropriation.
