R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Hutchins Road, County Highway 81, is a designated route on the County Highway System; and
WHEREAS, three culverts on Hutchins Road at Mill Creek need repair or replacement; and
WHEREAS, it is advisable that a professional engineering services firm be employed to provide Phase I preliminary engineering and Phase II design engineering services; and
WHEREAS, Lake County has selected a professional engineering services firm, Hampton, Lenzini, and Renwick, Inc., of Elgin, Illinois, in accordance with the Local Government Professional Services Selection Act, for said engineering services.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that Hampton, Lenzini, and Renwick, Inc., of Elgin, Illinois, be employed to provide professional engineering services to repair or replace the three culverts on Hutchins Road at Mill Creek, and that the County Board Chair, the County Clerk and the Acting County Engineer of Lake County are authorized and they are directed to execute, on behalf of Lake County, a contract and any subsequent amendments, a draft of which is attached hereto, for the provision of said professional engineering services between Lake County and Hampton, Lenzini, and Renwick, Inc., of Elgin, Illinois, at a cost of $256,683.98.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Acting County Engineer shall transmit, in writing, the final agreement, and any subsequent amendments, to be executed by the County Board Chair and the County Clerk.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there is hereby appropriated $310,000 of County Bridge Tax funds for these engineering services, and designated as Section 17-00275-02-BR.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this agreement be administered in accordance with Chapter 605, Act 5, Section 5-205.2 of the Illinois Compiled Statutes without further Board action, providing the final contract cost chargeable under the funds appropriated does not exceed the appropriation.
