R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Quentin Road, County Highway 5, is a designated route on the county highway system; and
WHEREAS, the free flow of traffic at the intersection of Quentin Road and Rand Road is beneficial to the safety and welfare of the State of Illinois and the county as a whole; and
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois and Lake County believe it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if the intersection of Quentin Road and Rand Road and Quentin Road from Rue Royal to White Pine Road could be improved by widening and reconstruction; and
WHEREAS, Phase III construction engineering services are required for the Quentin Road widening; and
WHEREAS, it is advisable that a consultant engineering firm be employed to provide said Phase III construction engineering services; and
WHEREAS, Lake County, by and through its Division of Transportation, has selected a professional engineering services firm in accordance with the Local Government Professional Services Selection Act, 50 ILCS 510/1 et. seq.; and
WHEREAS, V3 Companies of Illinois, Woodridge, Illinois, are consulting engineers skilled in the provision of said Phase III construction engineering services.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by this Lake County Board, that V3 Companies of Illinois, Woodridge, Illinois, be employed to provide said Phase III construction engineering services, and that the County Board Chair, the County Clerk and the County Engineer of Lake County are authorized and they are directed to execute, on behalf of Lake County, an agreement, and any amendments required by IDOT, for consultant engineering services between Lake County and V3 Companies of Illinois, Woodridge, Illinois.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Engineer shall transmit in writing the final agreement, and any amendments required by IDOT, to be executed by the County Board Chair and the County Clerk.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this agreement, and any amendments required by IDOT, when executed in their final form, be submitted to the Illinois Department of Transportation for their approval and final processing.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this agreement be administered in accordance with Chapter 605, Act 5, Section 5-205.2 of the Illinois Compiled Statutes without further Board action providing the final contract cost chargeable under the funds appropriated does not exceed the appropriations.
