WHEREAS, the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority (ICJIA) has announced the continuation of the State's Attorney's Prosecutor-Based Victim Services program, with a 12 month renewal that includes $61,553 in federal funds to provide advocacy services to victims of domestic violence, aggravated battery, cyber-crime, identity theft and fraud during the period October 1, 2013 through September 30, 2014; and
WHEREAS, the grant program will fund 97 percent of the salary and benefits for a full-time Victim Witness Coordinator in the Domestic Division, and is comprised of $61,553 in federal funds, a required match of $15,389, and additional match of $3,192 for a program total of $80,134; and
WHEREAS, the grant renewal must be formally accepted by Lake County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that Program Agreement #213836 with the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority for the Lake County State's Attorney's Prosecutor-Based Victim Services program in the amount of $80,134 for the period October 1, 2013 through September 30, 2014, is hereby accepted; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that grant revenue in the amount of $61,553 from the ICJIA, will be deposited into account # 101-3330030-45334, matching funds of $18,581 from account 765-3350010 will be deposited into account # 101-3330030-45400; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the chart of accounts will be forwarded to the Controller as soon as possible; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the State's Attorney shall serve as project director for the program, and accurate records of all necessary grant compliance requirements shall be kept by the State's Attorney Office; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Chairman of the Board, the Lake County State's Attorney, and the Lake County Treasurer are hereby authorized to execute the necessary documentation in order to accept the grant renewal.
