WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 4-102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, bids were called for by publication for Housekeeping Services for Winchester House; and
WHEREAS, invitations for bids were extended to thirty-six (36) vendors; and
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received from nine (9) vendors and opened in the County Building, Waukegan, IL on November 12, 2009 at 2:00 p.m., and
WHEREAS, Northshore Building Maintenance Inc., is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder in the estimated amount of $452,628 per year; four other bids were received ranging from $510,600 per year to $797,976 per year and four non-responsive bids were received.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Northshore Building Maintenance Inc., Northbrook, IL in the estimated amount of $452,628 per year for Housekeeping Services for Winchester House, for a two year period plus renewals, charging account 218-4104025-71620-000-000-000-00000.
