Body
WHEREAS, this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, by prior resolution at its meeting of November 14, 2006, adopted a resolution in support of the Lake County Coordinated Transportation Services Committee (LCCTSC) goal to develop a borderless paratransit system service in Lake County to meet the needs of seniors and persons with disabilities or medical needs; and
WHEREAS, this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, now desires to develop a comprehensive Paratransit Transportation Plan to meet the needs of seniors and persons with disabilities or medical needs; and
WHEREAS, the Regional Transportation Authority has grant funds in the amount of $79,688.80 to provide 80% of the aggregate actual costs of the development of a Paratransit Transportation Plan; and
WHEREAS, the RTA and Lake County are now desirous of entering into a grant agreement stating the terms and conditions by which the RTA will provide to Lake County funding up to $79,688.80 for the development of said Paratransit Transportation Plan, a draft copy of which is attached hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the County Engineer of Lake County, be authorized is hereby directed to execute the final grant agreement with the RTA stating the terms and conditions by which the RTA will provide grant funding to Lake County for the development of said Paratransit Transportation Plan
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the State’s Attorney of Lake County, or designated Assistant State’s Attorney, be authorized and is hereby requested to execute the “Affirmation of Grantee’s Attorney” as contained in said final grant agreement or any revisions thereto
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said contract be administrated in accordance with Section 5-205.2 of the Illinois Highway Code without further Board action.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Engineer is hereby authorized to sign any forms, documents, agreements or any revisions as may be necessary in regards to said grant funding as needed by the RTA.
