Staff Summary
• At its February 2018 meeting, the Lake County Board authorized a contract with exp US Services, Inc., in the amount of $52,570 for mechanical, electrical, and structural consulting engineering services for air handling replacement projects at the Depke Juvenile Complex, Round Lake Beach Branch Courthouse, and the Children’s Advocacy Center.
• At its June 2018 meeting, the Lake County Board authorized Contract Modification Number One with exp US Services, Inc., in the amount of $14,000 to include additional design work needed at Children’s Advocacy and Depke Juvenile Justice Center that was unforeseen at the time the project was initially scoped.
• This modification will enable exp US Services to provide additional construction administrative service for on-going support of the Depke air handling replacement project scheduled for completion this Summer and future construction administrative services later this year for the Round Lake Beach Branch Courthouse air handling replacement.
• In accordance with Article 8, section 101(2) of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, this contract modification was not reasonably foreseeable at the time the contract was signed it is hereby requested that the Purchasing Agent be authorized to enter into Contract Modification Number Two for contract administration services.
• This resolution authorizes Contract Modification Two with exp US Services, Inc. in the amount of $13,250 for a total contract amount of $79,820.

1. At its June 2018 meeting, the Lake County Board authorized Contract Modification Number One with exp US Services, Inc., in the amount of $14,000 to include additional design work needed at Children’s Advocacy and Depke Juvenile Justice Center that was unforeseen at the time the project was initially scoped.
3.
