Resolution recognizing the contributions of Judy Martini upon the completion of her service as a Member of the Lake County Board.
Body
WHEREAS, Judy Martini has served as a Member of the Lake County Board, representing District 1, from December 1994 until December 2008; and
WHEREAS, Judy Martini has brought her experience and her knowledge of and interest in local government to bear on a variety of Committees and activities while serving on the County Board; and
WHEREAS, in recognition of these abilities, Judy Martini was selected to serve in a variety of leadership positions, including Chair of the Legislative & Intergovernmental Affairs Committee from 1998-2002, Chair of the Planning, Building & Zoning Committee from 2002-2006, and Chair of the Rules Committee from 1998-2002; and
WHEREAS, during her service on the Lake County Board, Judy Martini has also served as Vice-Chair of the Intergovernmental Affairs Committee, Law & Judicial Committee, and the Planning, Building & Zoning Committee; and as a Member of the Public Service Committee, Law & Judicial Committee, Chairman’s Advisory/Legislative Committee, Legislative & Intergovernmental Affairs Committee, Planning, Building & Zoning Committee, Revenue, Records & Legislation Committee and Rules Committee; and
WHEREAS, Judy Martini also served as a Member of the Fox Waterway Agency Advisory Committee from 1999 to the present.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that we do hereby recognize and commend Judy Martini for her record of public service as a Member of the Lake County Board; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we are indeed fortunate and honored to have known and worked with such an outstanding citizen and public servant; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Lake County Board does hereby extend its best wishes to Judy Martini as she pursues new challenges and opportunities, and offers, on behalf of all Lake County residents, its heartfelt thanks for a job consistently well done.
